WEAVE is the only tax-exempt non-profit organization in Washington DC — and one of only a few nationwide — that provides truly comprehensive services to domestic violence survivors. WEAVE is special because we see the individual—not just the violence they experienced. We know that each individual has a broad range of needs including legal, economic, social, physical and emotional. We work to fill those needs whenever we can.

The holistic services model ensures services are readily accessible and coordinated between attorneys, licensed clinical social workers, economic advocates and mental health professionals. WEAVE provides the full range of tools necessary to achieve safety and self-sufficiency.

Unlike many other organizations in the District of Columbia, WEAVE provides all of our services without income restrictions and will help victims of domestic violence, regardless of their income level. However, whenever appropriate, WEAVE utilizes a modest sliding scale for individuals with means.
